Designed by renowned golf course architect David Rainville, the beautifully-maintained Warner Springs Ranch championship course meanders through the western foothills of San Diego's Cuyamaca Mountains at an elevation of 3,000 feet. Picturesque mountain vistas and open grazing lands create the backdrop for a course of uncompromising quality that provides a superb challenge for golfers of any caliber.

Horseback Riding

At Warner Springs Ranch Equestrian Center, we want to share our love for horseback riding and the great outdoors in an unspoiled environment, surrounded by the beauty of nature. We invite you to join our professional staff and well-trained horses in one of our numerous programs for riders of all ages. Here you can ride on miles of excellently maintained trails with easy access to the Pacific Crest Trail.

Historic Mineral Hot Springs

In 1795, a Spanish expedition led by Fray Juan Mariner visited an incredibly beautiful valley that reposed against the San Jacinto Mountains in what is now Southern California. Besides the majestic grandeur, the adventurers were struck by a remarkable phenomenon, the gushing forth of "Aqua Caliente," the hot mineral waters that would later bring thousands of visitors from all over the world to this enchanted place.

Recreation & Fitness

The ranch offers active, fun-seeking guests a soccer field, jogging trails, basketball court, three sand volleyball courts, shuffle board, bocci ball, horseshoe pits, kid's game room, adult pool table, ping pong, an array of board games, saunas and exercise room, and three oversized swimming pools with hot mineral or fresh water.

Hiking

Warner Springs Ranch has become a welcome rest stop for tired trekkers traveling the legendary Pacific Crest Trail running from Campo, California on the Mexican Border to the Canadian border in Washington State. A portion of the storied trail passes through ranch owned pastureland about a mile from the front entrance of the resort.

Swimming

We offer crystal-clear therapeutic hot spring water in our Olympic-sized pool. This eminent gem has a unique history. Originally in the mid 1800s local Indian folk, using palm tree fronds to cover the hot springs, created a popular steam bath-house; a delight for the weary traveler and the mule-train cowboy. In later years, as Hollywood developed, movie celebrities adopted the Ranch as their own pleasure ground and retreat. In addition to the renowned Hot Pool, two fresh mountain-water pools are close by.

Cycling

Road cyclists and mountain bikers both enjoy great riding opportunities in the area surrounding Warner Springs Ranch (Ranch elevation 3100 feet above sea level). Outdoor activities are the heart and soul of the Warner Springs Ranch experience. Getting together outdoors with friends, family or just a quiet bike ride by yourself are traditions with deep roots at Warner Springs Ranch.

Tennis

Tennis facilities at the ranch which include 4 lighted tennis courts. Trees and wind screens line the courts at the ranch. Courts are conveniently located next to the pools for a quick dip after your match.

The mountain location and vast wilderness areas surrounding Warner Springs means the Ranch enjoys incredible "dark sky" conditions for stargazing much of the year. Bring your own telescope and explore the planets and stars of the night sky or join us for an evening of celestial exploration with a powerful telescope and an experienced astronomer as your guide.
