A Thank You Note for the Ranch from "Party Foul"

Like most Pacific Crest Trail through hikers (the folks that start at the Mexican border with the goal of reaching the Canadian border a few months later) Jon Sestak has a trail name. These colorful names are usually given by fellow hikers early in their journey based on personality, hiking speed (or lack of) and any number of other factors. Jon's is "Party Foul" and he and all the other hikers use their trail names to sign hiking logs, post comments on PCT internet forums and blogs. Jon passed through the Ranch in the spring of 2009 and reached his goal at the Canadian border on September 28, 2009. "Party Foul" is probably now back to answering to "Jon" and getting on with his non-PCT through hiker life ... but he didn't forget about the Ranch or the other folks that helped him on his way. We got this postcard from him last week and thought his comments were worth sharing.
"Thank you for letting us dirty, smelly, hikers into your fabulous resort. I needed it so badly. I spent way too much money there I can't wait to go back. We couldn't do it without kind people like you. -- Party Foul"
Your thanks are graciously accepted Party Foul and you and the rest of the PCT through hiking community are welcome back at the Ranch anytime. We love having you folks around the Ranch ... especially after you've had a nice hot shower.
